We got to hear the heartbeat today. The obstetrician kept looking at us like he was waiting for something. I realized later that there is probably usually a lot of squealing and excitement.Unfortunately for him, Matt and I both have a tendency to grossly under-react to everything. When I took out the voice recorder, I made sure to explain that it was for my mom, so as not to undermine my poker face. I'm sure it was one of the more disappointing reactions he had today, but he did get some big smiles by confirming that there's only one baby in there. Deep down inside though, I was excited enough to run home and blog it immediately. The link above is a sound file of Seahorse's heartbeat. There's a lot of noise while he's finding it, but it gets a lot clearer.
