Hiccup in the Plan

This morning I got hiccups and had to keep myself from shouting, "HA! HOW DO YOU LIKE IT!"

Sock It To Me

At lunch I went home and put what seemed like a thousand teeny tiny baby socks into the washing machine. I will never, ever get them all paired back up again. If you see my newborn in mismatched socks, you'll know I just gave up. They should make them stick together with magnets or something.

Toughest Dungeon Boss Evar

My midwife's coming tomorrow for our home visit. I've been doing a lot of nesting (half of the laundry I'm washing is already clean, but not fresh enough) and the requisite scavenger hunt for supplies.  The supply list is long and bizarre and includes a fish net, a new garden hose, olive oil, a slow cooker full of washcloths, and sterile lube jelly. Collecting supplies has been unexpectedly therapeutic and has gotten me exited about having this baby. It actually reminds me of playing Zelda. Right now I think I'm a Hylian shield and 50 rupees shy of having everything I need to win labor and delivery. I wish this game had stamina potion.

Asleep at the Wheel

Lately I've been going home from work, not because I'm done working, but because I'm too hungry and have to go look for food, or because I'm falling asleep at my desk. Classes just started, and I haven't even hit full exhaustion levels yet. I'm not as preoccupied with food as I know I'll be either. I'm going to have to keep burritos in the hallway so I can duck out and snack during labs.
